World at Their Feet | The New Zealand Striker Who Made His Dreams Come True

As one of only six kiwis to ever to play in Premier League, Chris Wood has achieved more than he could have ever imagined.

Schooled by his football playing sister, Chris moved to England at the age of 15 and made his Premier League debut at 17. After a challenging period of loan moves, Wood met success with Millwall and a personal achievement at London 2012. Now a regular striker at Newcastle United, Wood’s New Zealand has just missed out on World Cup qualification. Arguably the nation’s greatest ever player, he has sights set on another great stage, Paris 2024 where he would be participating in the Olympics for the 3rd time.
