Field Hockey

Field hockey, called “Hockey” outside of North America, is one of the most popular sports in the world and one of the only sports that has a discipline in the Summer Olympic Games (Field Hockey) and the Winter Olympic Games (Ice Hockey). Hockey is a team sport that is enjoyed in schools, leagues, clubs, and friend groups in 135+ countries with outdoor, indoor, and small-sided games popular for development and international competitions. Traditionally played on grass, the modern game is played on artificial turf with teams consisting of 10 field players and a well-padded goalkeeper. Similar to Ice Hockey, Field Hockey players use composite or wood sticks to pass and hit a ball around the field in an attempt to score a goal. Hockey is fast, fun, safe, and exciting. Field Hockey is a great sport to learn teamwork and engage in friendly yet fierce competition.
